Sisterhood Bookstore Founded

Sisterhood Bookstore, a foundational feminist and LGBTQ+ community hub, was founded in 1972 in the Westwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. It was established by founders Simone Wallace, Gahan Kelley, and Adele Wallace. Sisterhood remained open from 1972-1999.
