Beyond the Visible (2019) tells the story of the talented Hilma Af Klint, the pioneer of abstract visual art. She was frustratedly erased from the art world and did not receive recognition for her work until a century after her male peers. The film suggests that the world may finally be ready to rewrite history after an exhibit of Af Klint’s work broke the Guggenheim Museum’s 60-year attendance record.
