McCannon’s mixed media book, “Badass Women Who Inspire Me to Soar.” This book started in downtown Manhattan at an expensive book-making workshop. To her surprise, the instructor gave attendees supplies and left. As her “revenge” to this man who “only cared about money” and “didn’t give her anything,” she included Black women in her book. McCannon reshaped old books to make this piece.
