The International Museum of Women, in association with the World Affairs Council of Northern California, hosted Aminatta Forna, in conversation with Clare Winterton, IMOW’s Executive Director, as part of IMOW’s Extraordinary Voices, Extraordinary Change speaker series. This speaker series featured thinkers and leaders worldwide who have made profound and unprecedented political, social, and economic changes in women’s lives worldwide.

Aminatta Forna was raised in Sierra Leone and the United Kingdom and now divides her time between London and Sierra Leone. She is the author of the novel Ancestor Stones and The Memory of Love and a memoir, The Devil that Danced on the Water. She was a member of IMOW’s Global Council.
