This ephemera is from the original supersisters trading card set which aimed to empower women and girls by highlighting accomplished women in a wide variety of fields. The cards were created by sisters  Lois Rich and Barbara Egerman after Lois’ 8-year old daughter, Melissa, asked why there weren’t any women on baseball trading cards. This card features Katharine Graham, a former chief executive of the Washington Post Company. During her tenure, The Washington Post was the first newspaper to report on the “Watergate” scandal.
